Industrial sewing operator — Anne Arundel County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. You will work at a busy garment factory. Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus The role involves: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet Full-time with occasional weekends.
