Furnace operator wanted in Kershaw County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a furnace operator in Kershaw County, South Carolina. You will be based on the moulding line. What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Your main tasks: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
