Aluminium technician wanted in Newcastle upon Tyne

Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium technician in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools — measuring tape, spirit level, cordless drill • 2+ years' hands-on experience fabricating aluminium doors and windows • Skilled on cutting, crimping and punching machines You will read fabrication drawings and take site measurements for windows and doors; fabricate and fit aluminium composite panel (ACP) cladding; erect curtain walling, shopfronts and partitions on site; crimp the corner joints and fit corner cleats on the crimping machine; check frames for plumb, level and square before fixing; apply silicone sealant and weather seals around the frames. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer £16 per hour plus benefits.
