Sand plant operator wanted in Union County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Union County, Indiana. You will work at a busy iron foundry. Day to day you will mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Full-time, day shift.
