Now hiring: we are hiring a sheet metal press operator in Screven County, Georgia. You will work on the press shop floor. Day-to-day duties: • Operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses • Run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely • Record output and downtime on the production sheet • Deburr and stack finished components for the next operation • Apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings Requirements: • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
