Gas commissioning technician — DeSoto County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas commissioning technician in DeSoto County, Mississippi. You will be based on commercial and industrial sites. The role involves: • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
