Safety marshal — Washtenaw County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a safety marshal in Washtenaw County, Michigan. You will be based at a busy construction site. The role involves run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites Part-time with flexible hours. Pay around $4,000 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
