Great opportunity: we are hiring an automotive paint technician in Fluvanna County, Virginia. Requirements: • Good eye for colour matching and blending • Sound knowledge of 2K paints, primers and hardeners • Able to mix paint by weight on a scale The role involves apply primer, base coat and clear coat with an HVLP spray gun; bake panels in the spray booth oven to cure the paint; wipe down panels with degreaser and a tack cloth before spraying; mask off trim, glass and rubber seals with tape and paper; check the colour match under booth lights against the maker's swatch; set the spray gun air pressure and fan pattern for an even finish.
