Aluminium TIG welder — Mille Lacs County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Mille Lacs County, Minnesota. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection You will tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. $18 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
