Join our team: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Cherokee County, South Carolina. What we are looking for: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Your main tasks: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
