Urgent requirement: fabricator-welder (Kansas)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Wabaunsee County, Kansas. You will work on an industrial construction site. Your main tasks: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
