UPVC window fabricator • Christian County, Illinois

We are recruiting: we are hiring an uPVC window fabricator in Christian County, Illinois. You will work in the profile cutting and welding bay. Day-to-day duties: • Rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router • Crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame • Wrap, label and load finished units for delivery without scratching the profile • Cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees • Glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square • Cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame Requirements: • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres • Own basic hand tools (tape, square, screw gun) At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Pay around $18 per hour, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
