Earthmoving equipment operator • Somerset County, Maine

Immediate opening: we are hiring an earthmoving equipment operator in Somerset County, Maine. You will work at an open-cast mine. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain • Safety awareness around banksmen, trucks and other plant Day-to-day duties: • Grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms • Rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving • Form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle • Backfill trenches and foundations once services are laid Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $4,600 per month plus benefits. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
