What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding The role involves: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
