Immediate opening: groundsman (Virginia)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a groundsman in James City County, Virginia. Day to day you will plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades; weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe; lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn; operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters. Ideal candidate: • Valid driving licence for travel between sites • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules 4+ years on the tools preferred. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
