Immediate opening: we are hiring a garment presser in Windsor County, Vermont. You will be based at a textile finishing unit. The role involves: • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts You should have: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
