Urgent requirement: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Seward County, Kansas. The role involves: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
