Urgent requirement: steel erection rigger (Rivers State)

Now hiring: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Abua/Odual, Rivers State. You will work in a steel fabrication yard. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Day-to-day duties: • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
