Great opportunity: we are hiring a garment machinist in North Somerset, England. The job is in a small denim manufacturing unit. Requirements: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines On the job you will handle: • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish Part-time with flexible hours. £1,950 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
