Now hiring: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Northwest Hills Planning Region, Connecticut. The job is at a shipyard. You should have: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Day to day you will establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio.
