Heavy equipment operator (dozer) — Ford County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator (dozer) in Ford County, Illinois. You will work at a civil contractor's yard. Requirements: • Proven experience operating crawler dozers (D6 to D8 class) • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes The role involves: • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms • Backfill trenches and foundations once services are laid • Cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes • Follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
