Industrial sewing operator — Capitol Planning Region

Immediate opening: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Capitol Planning Region, Connecticut. The job is in a small denim manufacturing unit. Ideal candidate: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Your main tasks: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
