We are recruiting: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Batsari, Katsina State. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. ₦260,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
