Now hiring: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Stone County, Mississippi. The job is at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes You will clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; grind back and re-weld any defective runs.
