Immediate opening: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Brooke County, West Virginia. Day to day you will laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter; rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials; decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards; pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
