We are recruiting: we are hiring a smash repairer in LaPorte County, Indiana. The job is in an insurance-approved repair centre. Requirements: • Comfortable working with dust, noise and spray fumes • Physically fit for lifting panels, bending and kneeling • Attention to detail and a clean, even finish Your main tasks: • Treat rust, apply seam sealer and underbody protection • Shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer • Buff and polish the finished panel to remove imperfections • Measure and set panel gaps for an even shut line • Knock out dents and creases using a panel hammer and dolly • Pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
