Join our team: we are hiring a tig welder in Washington County, Tennessee. Your main tasks: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
