Immediate opening: we are hiring a presser in Tioga County, Pennsylvania. The job is in a garment export house. Day to day you will press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board. You should have: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Pay around $4,300 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
