Join our team: gas pipeline fitter (Illinois)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas pipeline fitter in Union County, Illinois. You will work at a busy gas installation company. Your main tasks: • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
