Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas pipe fitter in Derby, England. You will be based at a busy gas installation company. What we are looking for: • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations Day-to-day duties: • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints 5+ years on the tools preferred. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
