Immediate opening: uPVC window fabricator (Illinois)

Great opportunity: we are hiring an uPVC window fabricator in Kendall County, Illinois. The job is in the profile cutting and welding bay. The role involves: • Clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash • Fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails • Crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame • Cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees • Glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square • Insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it Requirements: • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop • Able to read cutting lists and fabrication drawings Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
