Overlocker operator — Ketchikan Gateway Borough

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Alaska. The role involves: • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes You should have: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus 2+ years on the tools preferred.
