Now hiring: we are hiring a hand presser in Long County, Georgia. You will work in a busy laundry. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory On a typical shift you will spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board.
