Great opportunity: we are hiring a steam press operator in Union County, Mississippi. You will be based in a busy laundry. You should have: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Day-to-day duties: • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure 6+ years on the tools preferred.
