GTAW welder • Crawford County, Georgia

Immediate opening: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Crawford County, Georgia. You will be based on a structural steel site. On the job you will handle: • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through What we are looking for: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety We offer $180 per day plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
