The role involves: • Grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream Ideal candidate: • Able to work early-morning and night shifts • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Basic cake decorating and piping skills Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
