Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Chatham County, Georgia. You will be based at a shipyard. You should have: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Day to day you will set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. $170 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
