Day to day you will strip old shingles and felt back down to the deck; fix clay and concrete tiles onto the battens; bed and point ridge tiles with mortar; solder and seam standing-seam metal roof sheets; torch on bitumen membrane across flat roofs; erect and dismantle roof edge protection and scaffolding. Ideal candidate: • Strong enough to lift tile packs and felt rolls all day • A good head for heights and steady balance • Knowledge of both pitched and flat roofing systems Part-time with flexible hours.
