Vacancy available: stainless steel welder (Ohio)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Portage County, Ohio. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. The role involves: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator You should have: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
