Urgent requirement: we are hiring a retail butcher in Plymouth County, Iowa. Ideal candidate: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry The role involves sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled. $5,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
