On the job you will handle: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle Ideal candidate: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings 2+ years on the tools preferred.
