Brick and block layer — Ikot Abasi

We are recruiting: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Ikot Abasi, Akwa Ibom State. The job is on a scaffolded high-rise site. Day to day you will laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints. You should have: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
