Requirements: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Day-to-day duties: • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead Rotating shifts.
