Urgent requirement: tailor machinist (Scotland)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Angus, Scotland. You will work at a busy garment factory. You will press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching. Ideal candidate: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
