Banksman — Alleghany County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a banksman in Alleghany County, North Carolina. You will be based on an offshore oil and gas platform. Day-to-day duties: • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings Ideal candidate: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
