Now hiring: we are hiring a road roller operator in Louisa County, Iowa. The role involves check for underground cables and services before digging; operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles; stockpile and spread material to the required levels; excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines. What we are looking for: • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Understanding of safe digging near underground services A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
