Now hiring: we are hiring a crane rigger in Todd County, Minnesota. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. Ideal candidate: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Day-to-day duties: • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
