Vacancy available: we are hiring a confectioner in Louisa County, Iowa. You will work at a neighbourhood confectionery. On the job you will handle: • Score the top of loaves before baking • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe What we are looking for: • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen 5+ years on the tools preferred.
