Fabricator-welder wanted in Gloucestershire

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Gloucestershire, England. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances The role involves: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
