Brick mason — Cumberland County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a brick mason in Cumberland County, Illinois. The role involves building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
